Our Lesson Horses

At Itolt Training Center we strive to teach all our students how to enjoy riding and build confidence in their abilities. We do this through proper development of a secure seat and learning to fill the rider's "tool box" with tools that help them to master the horse in as many situations as we can. We teach Western, Dressage, Hunt, and jumping. We show on the Dayton Local Show Circuit where we can build confidence showing at local, low key shows. Our riders enjoy games and structured instruction on safe well trained horses.

Lady Dawn Jazz

"Dawn" is our youngest riders starter lesson horse. She is a very young 30 years old and has lots of experience.  She is very cooperative and gives our youngest riders lots of confidence to build on.  Here she is sporting a birthday costume from our first fun show! She is now officially retired except for the youngest beginner riders.

Pumpkin Pie

"Pumpkin" is trained for Western or English. She has been shown in Western Pleasure and Dressage. She has been my trail mount when I take my 4 yr old son with me (pictured here "loving" on her!). She is also been jumping this year and really enjoys it!

Thumper

This is "Thumper", he is owned by the young lady riding him and he is a part of our lesson program. He rides both Western and English and is our expert lunge line horse. His best job is teaching kids to canter! Thumper has been shown in Dressage and Evented.

Hunt Lesson with Ella.

Miss Busy Body

"Ginger" is a 12 yr old Halflinger cross mare that stands 13hh. She is very sweet and very responsive, so she'll be teaching the kids to steady their legs and she has a very nice easy-to-sit canter as well! Ginger has been a kids pony doing lead line for the past year.

Gaming fun with Kara!

Jumping with Kara too!

Adellahhh

We are completely blessed to have "Delha" join our program. She stands about 14.2hh and is a pretty bay color. She has so much to teach her students. Delha was shown on the Arabian Circuit in Western Pleasure and Dressage on the local levels. With her smooth gaits she will be able to teach canter as well as walk/trot and will be shown on the Dayton Local this year by some of our students!

Piper (miniature)

Piper is one of two miniature horses on our farm. They are trained to drive and give us all lots of joy! They help us give driving lessons and they have given many, many rides to youngsters for Birthday parties and church functions as well. Call if you're interested in booking Piper for a birthday party, we haul to you!

Chiraz

"Raz" is a lovely 15 yr old Anglo-Arab mare. She is one of our taller horses at 15.2hh and will be able to carry most anyone. She has a very smooth trot and canter and lovely form over fences. She is currently being worked by Anita and she will be going to her first "test" show on Aug. 9th to see how she'll do off site. Her current job is testee... that is... she's getting tested in everything to be sure she can handle all the situations that she'll be put in for next year's show season. Thus far she's passed with flying colors but she's got a big voice and likes to check in with her friends alot!
